The Festival of Erotic Living

Next Edition: Saturday 13th March @ Leela Centre in Darlinghurst in Sydney

We make time for work, eating and exercise, but why don’t we take our Erotic Lives just as seriously?

Even in normal times, most of us don’t give the attention to our Erotic Life that we could. We learn nothing about it in school and society generally looks upon it with suspicion. Too rarely do we give ourselves permission to explore our Desires and Pleasures with Intention. Too rarely do we to allow ourselves to be curious.

For anything to change in this part of our lives, we need to make the time and space for it. Once you do, a whole new world opens up!

Do you miss feeling butterflies? Do you miss playing with others? Are you feeling a bit shut down at the moment?

Don’t worry. Nearly everyone is.

The Sydney Festival of Erotic Living is a day to CELEBRATE who we are as erotic beings and the diversity and richness of erotic connection. There will be a program of workshops, installations, ceremonies and play party.

The Festival is a unique opportunity to

  • Open Your Eyes to what is possible in this realm

  • Invigorate your existing relationships

  • Reconnect with your own body

  • Learn to maintain healthy boundaries

Feel the joy of being alive.

What people are saying about Erotic Living

I have been coming to Erotic Living events since 2017, each time has given me ways be a better person - to myself and to others - not only in the erotic space, but in all aspects of my personal and professional life. I will be coming for many years to come and wish I had these opportunities given to me as a young woman.”

Kim McBurnie, Sydney

“I write this testimonial a day after The Festival of Erotic Living and I feel alive, refreshed, satisfied and hungry all at the same time. The world doesn't have an environment to discuss our needs and fantasies, but the safe space created here means you are not judged, in fact it is encouraged.”

VJ Raju Dorai about the most recent EL Festival on November 1, 2020, Sydney

“We had a great day and found it pitched at the right level. Tastefully run without being overtly sexual. There were many tips on communication that we’ve taken away and practice now. We’ll certainly be back for more so thanks for a great day.”

A&E about the most recent EL Festival on November 1, 2020, Sydney

“EL offers people genuine, meaningful education in a very challenging, confusing and very misunderstood part of life.”

Jacqueline Hellyer, sex therapist based in Sydney.

“Peter Banki is an erotic catalyst. I give him my highest recommendation.”

Joseph Kramer, Ph.D., Founder of the Profession of Sexological Bodywork in California

“Thank you Peter for making the world a sexier place”

Annie Sprinkle, Ph.D. artist and eco sexual sexecologist and feminist.

Into the Wild 2021 Summer | 6 Day Immersion

🍃Do you want to connect deeply with likeminded people?

💞 Do you want learn new skills, have experiences you’ve never had before?

🍃Do you want tailored feedback about how to evolve to your full potential as an erotic being?

Into the Wild (Summer) is the ideal environment to do the deep work that expands your possibilities of pleasure, embodiment and connections with others. It is a unique opportunity to experience what it is like to live in a space where sexual and erotic expression is allowed for an extended period of time in a natural bush setting.

It combines 6 days and 6 nights of workshops, play and artistic installations, parties and performances. To maintain the integrity of the group, it is only possible to book ticket for whole period: Friday to Thursday. Everyone must attend the opening ceremony on Friday night at 8pm. (If you can’t, please let us know when you book.)

The theme of the 2021 summer edition is Friendship & Community. How can the skills we have in eroticism, intimacy and connection be used to help and support one another during these difficult times? How can permission and exploration heal not only our personal histories, but also the traumas of our culture and collectives?

The program this year is specifically designed to nurture a sense of communal growth and personal healing. In short, it will give us opportunities to take a serious look at ourselves, at who we are, and how we want to live together. Into the Wild is for people at all stages of their erotic journey, from beginners to those who have a lot of experience and are even leading.

The 2021 summer edition will be led by EL Lead Faculty Peter Banki, Ph.D, Ira Zev and Nadia Nauss. There will also be opportunity for organic creativity where participants play a role in developing the program under the guidance of experienced teachers, as always.

Practical Information

Into the Wild will take place at a beautiful retreat sanctuary near Katoomba. It was originally a Buddhist sanctuary. As it was built for monks, there is only single bed accomodation available. Camping or caravan is also possible. (There will be love spaces set up and available to use throughout the festival.) There are single bed rooms as well as shared accomodation. Please let us know your preference when you book. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Because of the arrangement we have the owners, whether you stay in a room at the retreat or camp, caravan or stay off-site, tickets are all the same price.

If you would like a queen or king-sized bed, we recommend you book at the nearby Carrington Hotel in Katoomba or via Airbnb. The Sanctuary is only a 10 minute drive from Katoomba station (exact location given on booking).

Tickets are now on sale.

Catering for the retreat is purchased separately. Self-catering is also possible. More details about the catering will be up shortly.

If you are thinking of booking, we invite you to fill out the expression of interest form below to help us to learn a bit more about you and what your hopes and expectations are of the immersion. This will help us with our festival planning and to make a better experience for you.

“I have been coming to Erotic Living events since 2017 and each time has given me ways to reflect and be a better person - to myself and to others - not only in the erotic space, but in all aspects of my personal and professional life. I will be coming for many years to come and wish I had these opportunities given to me as a young woman.” Kim McBurnie, Coach, Sydney

"I've been to Into the Wild for the last three years and for me, each one has been even better than the last. I always learn new and often unexpected things...about myself, others, and the sphere of sexuality. There is always plenty to challenge, stimulate and excite me, amazing people to connect with, fresh perspectives to be exposed to, and so much to contemplate and process. I always come home 'alive' - re-invigorated, switched on and excited about the possibilities life and human connection have to offer. It's been of enormous benefit to me personally and in my work as a psychotherapist working in the field of sexuality." JB, Psychologist

"I would 100% recommend Into the Wild to anyone who is willing to explore the full potential of their sexuality. I went in with no expectations and came with a totally new perspective on my sexual potency and potential. My repertoire of sexual games and ways to communicate consciously during sex have increased exponentially. Thank you!" Carolyn L.
