This a great opportunity to learn about Shibari, otherwise known as Japanese Bondage, these classes will cover History , different practices, safety, consent and much more.

The Saturday morning : Beginners - 9 am / 1pm

This class is a hands on class where we will teach how to tie safely and enjoy the ropes from the get go , we will teach some basic elements of rope and followed by a couple of complete ties. Ideal for those approaching rope for the first time or wanting to refresh their basics.

The Saturday afternoon : Intermediate - 3pm /7pm

This class follows through from the beginners class and we will teach some more complex ties and methodologies developed by Avalon in his years of teaching all over the world. This class is ideal for those that have already enjoyed the pleasures of rope and wish to deepen their knowledge.

This is a 18+ event , no minors are allowed.

About Avalon:

Avalon, co-founder of the Sydney Rope Dojo ( 2010 ) and founder of Peer Rope Melbourne (2018 ) has been involved in Japanese Bondage since 2006, that is when he started his tuition with Masters in Japan, he regularly travels to Japan every year to continue his learning and deepening his understanding of this art form.

Avalon moved to Melbourne in 2015 opening Avalon's Rope Dojo for private tuition, in 2018 he started Peer Rope Melbourne in response to a growing interest and demand for tuition in Melbourne.
