8 years in Paris, a city of philosophy, sensuality and seduction, created in me the desire to explore some of its famous, still irritating paintings, The Origin of the World by Gustave Courbet.
What happens if we see a picture? What are we "doing" while seeing something? What does this "seeing" create in us?
How does it feel to pose as a model in such a painting? To pose in such an outrageous, famous painting? To be a part of its history, its sensuality, its scandal and its universality? How is it being observed doing that? Are any wishes coming up to change position? How would it be to fulfil theses wishes? How is it to observe others exposing themselves in this way?
First we will simply look at and contemplate The Origin of the World. Then I will tell you a bit of the story of this painting. After that we will pose ourselves in a way that is as close to the original painting as possible, as if we were posing for Gustave Courbet in 1866.

Klara Lotte is a passionate sculptress, a furniture-trainer, an art-therapist, an editor of a book about the possibilities and limits of forgiveness, based in Berlin, Europe.
Klara loves to explore, question and practice the connections and possibilities of nature and Eros, animals and humans, sex, dance and language, society and love, to name a few. As, for example, in her thesis about the emerging notion of comfort and its consequences for the furniture and the social and love life in the 18th century in France or in performing in Felix Ruckerts "Farm".
When Klara was a child she has spent her afternoons in her huge tree with her plush apes, now she misses this. She was never in a really wild continent like Australia and is very excited to meet its habitants and culture and nature.
