Pornography remains a very fraught topic in contemporary culture. And yet, despite its negative impacts, porn can still teach us a great deal about who we are as sexual beings and what turns us on. We are not all turned on by the same things. And many of us keep what turns us on secret.
As a way to counter sexual shame, this workshop will be an invitation to share our porn habits with one another in an accepting and non-judgemental atmosphere. We will be invited to show some of the porn that we like and talk about why we like it, i.e., what turns us on about it. By pornography, we mean of course visual images and video, but also writing and literature. (Bring it along some of your favourite material with you. We will able to project it and/or read it out.)
There will also be an opportunity to try a little "Porn Yoga". Porn Yoga is a modality invented by Joseph Kramer, as a way to use the arousal and energy we get from porn and circulate it through our bodies.
