If you’re curious about spaces of erotic permission and how to navigate them, this is an ideal introduction. It will give you a really clear idea of what they are like and what to expect.
In this session we provide a trauma-informed framework to enable participants to express their wishes and boundaries in clear ways, and to gracefully accept refusal. We look at topics like stating one's boundaries, impulse control, the freeze and fawn responses, how to deal with undesired interactions and partner choice. We also provide important tools about how to read body consent and spatial awareness, which supports verbal communication. Trauma-informed means that we must be aware that under circumstances people may not speak out their “no’s”.
To learn more how to interact at our festivals, listen to the audio recording below on How to Navigate Spaces of Permission
It addresses questions such as:
How do you get the most out of coming to an EL Festival?
How do you manage any anxiety you may have before attending?
What do you wear for the Magical Space?
Part of the reason why we are attracted to such events is that they take us out of our comfort zone. They put us in a place where we can feel vulnerable...but the rewards can be really lovely...and hot.
Enjoy listening and reading! It may change your whole way of living.
