Feasting (Nyotaimori)
FEASTING is inspired by my experience of partaking in Nyotaimori at an exotic and luxe event in New York City circa 2000. It was exquisite.
It captured my imagination, excited me and brought to life a fantasy of my own body being a ‘platter’ from which another or others dined.
I have enjoyed this practice with partners and lovers, but never before an ensemble of diners!
Nyotaimori is the practice of serving sashimi or sushi on the usually nude body of a woman. Adorned with delectable sushi and flowers, if done with care and carefully observing specific hygiene practices, it becomes a beautiful work of edible art.
Delicious, delightful, and most inviting!
Dreams of being a human buffet table really can come true!
For this event, we will come together to create an indulgent, sensual feast.
As artists who pay utmost attention to detail, combining the aesthetic beauty of the human form and intoxicating, tempting flavours of the selection of most sensual, visually appealing foods.
The goal is to create a profoundly engaging sensory experience for each other as guests to this banquet.
It is hard to argue against the fact that there is an exoticism to eating from a human body.
Those drawn to it feel that it is novel, artistic, sensual, and most of all unusual, which leads to arousal and pleasure when done well and respectfully.
There’s one thing for certain.
FEASTING will certainly be unique.
A degustation menu of your body - the moment that you take a morsel from your torso platter, it’s an altered state. With reverence and awe.
