Kinky Disability with Don Turton (2:30-4pm)

Kinky Disability with Don Turton (2:30-4pm)

Kink can be seen as a natural ally of disability, for both rely on experimentation, adventure, and exploration of roles and dynamics that encourage us to get out of the box. Donald enjoys showing people that disabled people are sexual beings like everyone else on earth, and through participating in group exercises, throughout the workshop, people can experience what it is like to be disabled and sexual/sensual. NB: During this workshop Donald will do a full striptease.

Kink in the Age of #metoo with Bernadette Gea Gea (4:30-6pm)

Kink in the Age of #metoo with Bernadette Gea Gea (4:30-6pm)

The so-called #metoo moment has had a strong impact on many sex-positive and kink communities around the world. It has caused major reassessments as well as painful fractures following accusations of consent violation, sexual abuse and even rape. The Sydney and Melbourne sex-positive and kink communities have not been spared these effects. For this reason, rather than avoid the elephant in the room, we have decided to propose a open discussion where everyone will have the right to say how they feel about this and to recount their own stories without shame and without blame. We will attempt to create a space of listening and compassion, where people can tell their stories and where new approaches to justice and intimacy may be glimpsed.
